Additional notes

We have operated this kiln over the last year and found each burn consistently produces 15 - 20kg of charcoal from oak, birch and sycamore.  A burn can easily be completed within one day,  typically taking about 5 hours, but could be much shorter depending on how dry the charge is.  Can be opened the following day but ideally left 24hrs to cool, then it can be emptied.

Because of the size of this kiln it can easily be moved and transported in a small van / pick up or possibly some estate cars with care.  Unlike our larger commercial kilns this one will be easier to store under lock and key when not in use
