At a show with the Woodsmith's Store last summer I was spoon carving, as you do, demonstrating the use of some of the tools we sell when a fellow exhibitor very kindly gave me a few sheets of Abranet. Being a traditional sort, I was cynical, however I had to admit this stuff was good, allowing great control in removing wood where you wanted it removed, finally producing a silky finish, it bearly cloged at all and, as I was later to discover, lasts a very long time.
We know spoons made from green wood drys very quickly, it did not clog as readily as normal sand paper does when used with the freshly felled stuff
