Handmade short handled doubly curved adze from Swedish Toolmakers Hans Karlsson Klensmide AB. Of the two hand adzes we stock from Hans Karlsson this is the larger 60mm edged adze
The profile of the cutting adge has a flatter sweep than the Hans Karlsson Adze 50mm and part of the edge is flat in the mid area. The edge has a long bevel on the outside and a shorter bevel on the inside. The beautiful handle is extremely comfortable
Every tool from Hans Karlsson Klensmide AB is suberbly made, sharpened and honed ready for use.
Our previous stock were made by Hans Karlsson's son Andreas, therefore stamped with the letter 'A'.

Made from the best quality Swedish tool steel, weights 700 grams, head length approx 160mm, hickory handle approx 220mm long.
Additional notes
The most noticeable thing about these small adzes is the quality, the attention to detail and the finish. Clearly made with an understanding of what wood craftsmen want and need from a tool. There are very subtle hammer marks on the head, confirming that this is a skillfully made, hand-made product.
