Gransfors Bruks British Trade Axe
Re-enactment, throwing and working
Product Description
A replica of one of Gransfors ancient axes, based on an original. Sometimes called a belt axe. The handle is a knock fit therefore does not have a swell knob on the end. No Gransfors logo on the handle, just the makers stamp on the head. Current stock is made by female axesmith Ulrika Stridsberg
Our single handed tomahawk throwing axes have a superficial resemblance but these axes are skillfully and beautifully forged and take a great edge. Thoretically you could throw them.
Product Specification
Straight 50cms long hickory handle, 95 mm edge, 145mm long. Grain leather sheath and the Axe Book. Weighs about 1.75lbs
Additional notes
Re-enactors are often attracted to these axes although we are not sure about the period it would be relevant for. Something we must investigate
