Different to most other axes due to the curved shape of the edge which is carried well above and backwards towards the head's eye which induces an effcient slicing action. The robust bit and the big angle of the wide bevelled face makes this a formidable carving tool. Made even better when fitted with this beautiful hand finished red beech handle.

Ground with a long bevel on the right hand side and a short bevel on the left, making this a handed axe only suitable for left handed use.

Additional notes

The exquisite handle on this axe is carved from swedish red beech providing a better grip therefore more control. Also a larger swell knob balances the axe a bit more. No Gransfors Bruks logo, which often appeals to re-enactors. I have not heard of anyone regretting buying this axe
