Special hardened steel wedge, forged with a very effective twist
Product Specification
1 3/4" face, weighs 4Ibs, twisted for maximum splitting effect. The poll has ground edges. Comes with a grain leather sheath (for some reason!) and The Axe Book
Additional notes
We use one for spliting oak for fence rails, longer than a lot of wedges also because it is forged with a twist it is even more effective. There are wedges........ and there are Gransfors wedges
