Splits large or medium rounds of firewood. The ridged, aggressive angle of the bit, together with high speed will split wood with trelative ease. The ridges blow the wood apart.

A large axe perfectly designed for the splitting of firewood
Wetterlings are the oldest surviving axe making factory in Sweden. They have the knowledge to make axes that function perfectly, look extremely good and designed to last a lifetime.
In the summer of 2011 we visited the factory in Storvik, to experience first hand the process, tradition and atmosphere that goes into making these enduring high quality hand-made axes.
All Wetterlings axes are hand made and measured by eye, therefore minor variations may occur.
Product Specification
1.5 kg Turpentine axe head, made from Swedish carbon steel has a 3" long bit, 8 inch long. The agressive angle of the bit, is slightly sloped and hardened to 56-58 on the Rockwell scale
The straight handle of american hickory is made at the Storvik factory. Comes with a neat thick leather sheath held ingeniously in place with strong magnets.

All Wetterlings axe heads are guarenteed for life against faults in the steel or the forging
