Gransfors Bruks Small Hatchet
You could almost treat this axe like you would a favourite knife, take it almost anywhere with you (well maybe not in your hand luggage!). We think this axe is made for carving spoon blanks, but Lenard Petterson actually designed this little axe for his fishing trips
Product Description
Very light, small axe with a narrow blade
Developed by axsmith Lennart Pettersson (LP) at Gränsfors, who we all know is a keen fisherman, the poll can be used like a 'priest'
Product Specification
Total weight 12oz, 26cms long, edge 2.5"long, hickory handle. Hand forged of high carbon Swedish steel and tempered at the bit to a hardness of 57 Rockwell C. Comes with a grain leather sheath and the Axe Book
Additional notes
People are often surprised to see this axe more expensive than some of the larger axes, the reason for this is because of their size they are difficult to forge and take more time to get right. To forge a small axe with the hole in the head requires great craftsmanship.
