Product Description
Made by Morris of Dunsford, Devon. A well balanced forged billhook for general work, not too heavy, slightly bigger hook than the Newtown and a blunted nose. Difficult to beat.
Tool making has been an industry at the Dunsford works in Devon for more than 100 years and in our opinion these tools are far better than anything else on the market, dispite the need sometimes for some final filing and/or honing to remove small manufacturing and grinding work on the edge.

Product Specification
5.5" oval handle made of ash, blade length approx 9", slightly bigger hook than the Newtown, the hook tip is blunted, long equal bevels. Tang runs full length of the handle.
Additional notes
Near the handle end of the blade the Devon has a notch which we understand allows you to drop a knotted loop into, the loop hangs from the wrist. This apparently takes some of strain out of holding the hook for extended peroiods of time. We have never tried this, let me know if you know different.
