Ideal for harvesting small rods, working material up and cleaving, although if you do a lot of cleaving the Devon would be a better choice
Product Description
Made by Morris of Dunsford, Devon. A very well balanced forged billhook for general work, not too heavy, difficult to beat. As each tool is hand made there are small forging differences to each hook.
Product Specification
5.5" oval handle made of ash, blade length approx 9", long equal bevels. Tang runs full length of the handle.
Additional notes
We would only consider using Morris Newtown and Devon billhooks for the general coppicing work we do, and so pleased that a long established company is still making such traditional tools that work and are great value. Very satisfying to use a sharp well balanced 'hook. Also available with a RH or LH single bevel, e-mail for more information.
