Ashley Iles 1.25 in. x 17 Curved Carving Gouge
This bent gouge will allow you to carve deeper into a bowl. Good also for carving the bowls of spoons, using a 'choked-up' technique. Like all carving tools in the Ashley Iles range this is a hand made tool. Whilst bent carving gouges have a shoulder on them it is best not to bash them with a wooden mallet as they are not as strong as a straight gouge, hand pressure is best.
