Very large robust carving gouge, one of the largest we have seen. This is an Alongee Pattern gouge;  the blade splays from the shoulder towards the cutting edge

Additional notes

We have not tried this gouge yet but it appears a very dynamic tool (could require a dynamic person to use it also!),  can definitly see a role for this tool in the world of woodland craft
