Typically used to shape chair bottoms in the windsor style, or indeed any hollow feature
Product Description
Similar to a drawknife but shaped round like a horseshoe. Out-cannel, i.e. ground on the outside of the blade.
Product Specification
Made from 01 high carbon tool steel. 4.5 in. beech handles, brass ferrules. The distance between the tangs as they enter the handles is approx 5in.
Additional notes
Also called an Inshave, two handed, pulls towards you. Will need some final honing to the hollow ground edge.
