Ray Iles/WSS 8 1/2" Special Edition Drawknife, Elm with leather sheath
Typically used to round up billets ready for the pole lathe, but used for many and varied greenwood work
Product Description
SORRY, OUT OF STOCK
Same design, size and weight as the Ray Iles standard 8 1/2" Drawknife except with rather special 4" handles in elm.
This one comes complete with a split leather sheath.
Product Specification
8 1/2" blade, total length 16". 4" handles in lightly oiled elm. Comes with individual, rivited split leather sheath
Additional notes
Specially made for the Woodsmith's Store because drawknives are not only an essential green woodworking tool but one which you can get very attached to so why not have one that is rather special. With use, these elm handles will develop a very appealing patina
The bevel is hollow ground and will need a final hone before use
