Small froe by respected UK toolmaker Ray Iles. Blade 6" long and a straight eye, i.e. not tapered as in the larger Ray Iles froe. Just the iron here you have the option to make a handle of your own design.

6" blade in high carbon steel '01', tapered blade, parallel sided eye. No handle on this one!
Additional notes
Ray Iles has made some small but significant improvements to his small froe. The bevel now continues very gradually all the way to the edge making fine control far more achievable. The blade is also 1/2" longer
Not to be used on anything bigger than material such as 6-7 year old hazed rods. The handle you fit should be no longer than about 10". When making the handle for this froe it is best to turn a shoulder so the top of the eye sits on this and wedge it from the other side, this way when you push the froe into the wood it can't come loose.
