This section is about tools that create round stock and tenons.
A rounder, also known as a rotary plane, creates accurate round stock for backsticks and other single diameter components typically for chairs. This wooden bodied tool can be continued all the way along the work piece if needed, not just for tenons. All of these are made by Ray Iles. Manually operated
Veritas Power Tenon Cutters produce smooth accurate tenons with radiused shoulders powered by an electric drill or brace. We have 8 sizes ranging from 5/8" - 2".
- Smaller sizes from 5/8" to 1" cut 2.3/4" long tenons
- Sizes 1.1/4" to 2" will cut 4.1/4" long tenons, for structural connections
