Made out of virtually unbreakable spheroidal / graphite iron. Length 10", weight 15oz, curve 2. 1/2" dia.
Additional notes
Traditionally chair makers would shape chair bottoms with a doubly curved adze then finish off with a travisher. This tool does a similar job to a travisher, but as the curve of the blade has a tighter radius it works difficult grain with greater ease, removing less wood each stroke. The Clifton Convex spokeshave is a beautiful tool to use and behold, it may work slower but allows greater control and accuracy than some of the alternatives
